Whether you are running a lift with larger tires, do a lot of towing, your Jeep is loaded down with aftermarket accessories, or all of the above, the factory braking system is not up to the task. The Teraflex Front & Rear Delta Brake Kit is the ultimate upgrade for both the JK and JL Wrangler. The combination of 14” x 1.25” and four-piston rotors bake this kit is capable of working with up to 42” tires. Even though the calipers and rotors are much larger than factory, they can still fit inside of a 17” wheel (verify fitment with Wheel Fitment Template). By using high modulus materials, Teraflex was able to make low profile calipers that will not stress or deform under load.
Shipping Note: Because of the Teraflex Front & Rear Delta Brake Kit weight (188.7lbs), it will need to ship by LTL freight truck.
High Modulus Bridge: By using an incredibly heat-treated 4140 cast steel, Teraflex eliminates any flex in their calipers while keeping them low profile. Even though the rotors and calipers are oversized, they still tuck inside a 17” wheel.
Four-Piston Calipers: The Teraflex High Modulus Bridge Four-Piston Calipers feature two-inch pistons for superior clamping force. The piston housings are made from forged T6 6061 aluminum with hard-anodized bores, and the pistons are hard-chrome plated.
Auto-Bleeding: The calipers include built-in valve bleeders for easy one-person operation. These bleeders allow you to remove all the air from your braking system without an extra set of hands.
Drop-In Brake Pads: For ease of installation, the Teraflex Delta brake pads use a drop-in design. The calipers do not need to be disassembled in order to replace pads. The pads that come with kit have a proprietary composite-resin semi-metallic design. When they wear out, they can be easily replaced with off the shelf Toyota pads from any parts store.
Vented and Slotted Rotors: The 14” x 1.25” rotors are both vented and slotted for heat and gas dissipation. To further assist with heat, the cast iron rotors are both heat-treated and mill-balanced. Teraflex uses a GEOMET coating on the non-friction surfaces to minimize corrosion.
Durable Components: To protect the high-quality materials, Tereflex uses zinc and e-dipped coating on the bridges and mounts. This finish can is rated to withstand a 1,000-hour salt spray test. To keep water out of the calipers, Teraflex uses EPDM synthetic boots. The included hardware is formed with 300,000 psi.
